Grilled Sweet Peppers

These little packages of sweet deliciousness make for one of the easiest side dishes you’ll ever put on the grill! We make grilled sweet peppers as sides to almost everything we put on the grill – beef, chicken, pork, you name it! They pair as well with burgers as they do with carne asada and everything in between. All you need to do is to combine a package of sweet peppers,  with skewers, a bit of oil, a hot grill, and about 15 minutes. So let’s get started…

Grilled Sweet Peppers

Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (spray ok)
  • 1 pkg mixed sweet peppers

Instructions

  • Rinse the sweet peppers and pat dry
  • Carefully place 5-6 peppers on a skewer, pressing each pepper firmly against the other (this makes them easier to flip when grilling)
  • Continue adding peppers to next skewer, making 4 skewers total
  • Lightly coat peppers with oil
  • Place skewered peppers on hot grill and let cook 5 to 7 minutes
  • Using grill tongs or spatula, carefully flip each skewer
  • Let cook a an additional 5 to 7 minutes and remove skewers from gril
  • Serve immediately or keep warm in heated oven
